Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} c.sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} -Pl. E.1/HP.9.3.32. ---------------- re 20/25 HP. Tank Engine. ------------------------ Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has suggested that we might use a J.1 Head on this engine so as to be able to produce any required power output. We think this is a good suggestion, and we specially welcome it from another point of view, and that is it separates entirely the exhaust and inlet pipes, and gives us the best chance of making a satisfactory job of the exhaust manifold, and its connection to the silencer. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has a Japan l.head that could be used on the first engine. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} | ||
