X3751 To Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} from By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} By9/P29.3.20. X.2565 - RE CHASSIS PARTS WHICH ARE HELD UP AFTER CHASSIS 1000. X.3751. The only item outstanding for chassis prior to 1001 is the piston. Mr. Hives informs me on the telephone, at the moment, that the 10,000 mile run has now been completed satisfactorily and that he is writing CJ. for his consent to standard this new type of eccentric walled piston. This, however, does not at the moment include the extra piston rings at the top of the piston. [Text printed upside down at the bottom right corner]: R.R. 235 B (50) (T) (S.G. 504) S-1-20.
