Extract from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1/LG8.4.20. X.3751.-RE MODIFIED ALUMINIUM SPLIT PISTON. A set of these has now completed 10,000 miles on 2M.X. Car, a second set has completed 9,000 miles and a third set has completed 7,000 miles. The condition of these pistons after this amount of running is that they are free from piston knocks either when hot or cold. They are, in this respect, an advantage over the split aluminium pistons we are at present using. These pistons have gudgeon pin knocks (elusive knocks) but they are, in this respect, no worse than those we are using. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
