PHANTOM III CARBURETTER

We have already voiced our misgivings about the leather plunger on the accelerator pump. We have had a number of these fail on chassis on test. We were inclined to believe that these failures were due to insufficient care being taken when the carburetter was assembled.

We now have a carburetter where the accelerator pump has gone wrong after the car had been in service - the car had done a total of 150 miles. Another carburetter has been fitted and we have the faulty one in the Test Dept. We propose holding this until we can let Mr Fisher see it, he is at the present time away on holiday, but we expect him here on Monday or Tuesday of next week.
