Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM{Anthony F. Martindale}4/R.{Sir Henry Royce} DATE 16th October 1937. [Handwritten: MARTINDALE] [Handwritten: File] Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., D E R B Y. Dear Sirs, In response to your request of the 15th inst., we have pleasure in enclosing herewith blueprints of our standard 12" x 1¾" and 12" x 2" GIRLING BRAKE Assemblies. We do not produce a brake assembly with shoes 1⅞" wide. The dust cover used on the front expander assembly is now rubber in place of the leather previously used. We enclose details drawings and arrangement drawing herewith. We have not, up to the present, considered an automatic adjuster for 12" size brake assembly owing to the small space available which makes it difficult to make the actuating parts sufficiently robust. Kindly rest assured any further information or particulars we can supply will be gladly sent. With many thanks. Yours faithfully, for NEW HUDSON LTD., [Signature of Alex Fraser] MANAGER. Enclos. | ||
