Continuous trouble with carburetter throttles sticking during slow running due to distortion and thermal expansion.

16-G4. CARBURETTERS. LEC.2924.

We have continuous trouble on the road with these carburetters when trying to slow run. The throttle invariably stick for the last part of their movement.

We think one reason is because we have a C. and A.{Mr Adams} washers between the carburetter and the induction pipe and the deflection of this causes distortion in the throttle barrels when pulled up by the two-bolt flange.

Again the shaft connecting the two throttle spindles does not allow for the expansion of the induction pipe. This tightens up the throttles as the engine warms up.

There are one or two other points which require attention, a list of which we attach herewith.

Will you please make the necessary modifications.

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson}
