8-CYLINDER HIGH POWER ALUM UNIT.

In reply to HPS{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}/WSC.{W. S. Cassel}3/BA.11.7.39, will you please go through with 3 sets of the special pieces peculiar to the alum version of the 8 cylinder engine but only 2 sets of the pieces which are common to the Cast Iron Engine. We can then call upon the standardised parts from the Conventional engine if we decide that the 3 complete alum units are to be built.

In going ahead with 3 sets of the special parts we are really referring more to castings than to finished machined parts, as, of course, modifications may be found to be desirable after the first engine has been run.
