Re. By/RD.15/J.17.5.33.

The only difference apparently between the present production condensers and those we tested for the purposes of standardization is the inductivity factor of the impregnating wax.

An inspection of the paper now being used on production shews this to have a brown pigmentation as distinct from the pure white paper used previously.

This paper should be rejected and the matter taken up with the makers as the increase of capacity with temperature affects the ignition coil performance.

We are arranging to include in our laboratory tests of insulating papers a special inductivity test for condenser paper and in order to ensure absolute consistency on production we would like it arranged that whenever a fresh supply of paper is received at the Works a sample is sent to us for test.
