(3) The O.H. Camshaft chain drive Personally I favour the hemispherical Combustion Chamber rather than pent house. The Liberty was shewn in the S.A.E. April 1929. Other two valve heads are R.R. Eagle, Wright, Pratt & Witney, Paley, Norton etc. One of the problems is where to put the 'lug & what to do with the piston when an 8-1 c/r is required. There is no doubt that the Wright eye head is giving marvellous results. We ought to be able to get good volumetric efficiency on a 3 1/2" bore if they can get reasonable results on a 6" bore. Your relation rang me up but I have not had time to see them yet having had flu & been down to Washington Have wasted a lot of time taking around the Aero jobs etc. Unfortunate about the Nairobi car, particularly as Dunlops chose the tyres as being the best that could be got on the car. Hope you will be sending the Continental to meet me. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
