| -2- The engine was run for 250 miles at 2000 r.p.m. 3/4 load. On the last 100 miles of this run, the oil consumption was 1000 m.p.g. The engine was then fitted to a chassis; and the usual road test taken - result 930 m.p.g. As a further check, the road test was repeated in the presence of Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Mr Swindell - result 990 m.p.g. This in our opinion is a good oil consumption for a Bentley Chassis. | ||
