5 J.D46. or pierced with the slightest pressure, it is also a disadvantage to have the flat side facing the positive plates, as it appears that gas gets locked in between tending to distort the separators & cause a fracture of same thus giving an opportunity for the plates to come in contact. It would be interesting to know from a technical point of view what causes the negative paste to blow out with Threaded Rubber separators & not with wood, & what has given the wood separators a green tint on the negative side, it is probably some impurity in the cell.
