COPY. W. W. CONSTANTINE, 111, Grosvenor Road, Consulting Engineer, LONDON. S.W.1. 4th. June 1931. Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd., Derby. For the attention of R.{Sir Henry Royce} W. Harvey-Bailey, Esq. Dear Sirs, RE: SYNCHRO MESH TRANSMISSION. Reverting to your letters of the 6th and 8th ultimo I would advise you that I have now received advice from Detroit which indicates that our people are prepared to accept a royalty of $5.00 per car in connection with the synchro-mesh transmission under discussion. Since writing you I have secured copy of our British Patent No. 342,824 which issued comparatively recently and which covers this particular type of transmission. I have pleasure in enclosing copy of this specification. I shall be very glad to hear from you in due course whether the above figure would be acceptable to you in the event that you decide that you would like to use this particular construction. Yours faithfully, (signed) W.W. Constantine. | ||
