We send herewith a sketch of the lubrication of
the nose of the 3 rd. motion shaft in the Chrysler spool
gear box. This method by the hole drilled at the root of
the teeth is only used for this bearing and not for the
plain bearings of the side shaft. Their lubrication depends
on the spiral thread, the bronze bearings also being
made from dented sheet.
