To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry{Shadwell Grylls} c. to Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}6/MA.1. 12. 31. We send herewith a sketch of the lubrication of the nose of the 3 rd. motion shaft in the Chrysler spool gear box. This method by the hole drilled at the root of the teeth is only used for this bearing and not for the plain bearings of the side shaft. Their lubrication depends on the spiral thread, the bronze bearings also being made from dented sheet. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Sketch attached. | ||
