For the attention of Mr. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} W. Hives

Dear Sirs

We have been experimenting with a modified construction of the Model KR3 plug, which we have designated Model KR5. We are sending you herewith, a dozen of these Model KR5 plugs fitted with steel pins, and 5 fitted with copper pins, these being all the copper pin plugs which we have made up at the moment.

We should be much obliged if you would have the 1 Doz. KR5's with steel pins tested and compared against the standard KR3 plug, and the 5 KR5 plugs fitted with copper pins tested and compared as against the KR4 plug.

We should be much obliged if you would have these tests carried out for us at your earliest convenience, as we are particularly anxious to get some information on this Model KR5 plug.

Thanking you in anticipation,

Yours faithfully,
THE LODGE SPARKING PLUG CO. LTD.
