Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}17/R.16.7.37. With reference to Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}13/D.2.7.37, Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} has asked me to deal wihh this matter. I attach a copy of my reply to the Patent Agents in question. As we have had one of the foremost experts in America on Exhaust System over here, and he could do very little to help us, we think that Mr. Douglas Fairweather's estimate of Glasgow University Students' capacity shows a complete failure to grasp the practical side of the problem.
