RE. 20 HP. INSULATION BETWEEN DASH & SCUTTLE. X.4613 We are quite in agreement with your remarks in memo. BY5/P19.9.23, re. the separation of the scuttle from the dash on the 20 HP. We have got a body at Bromley treated in this manner and hope shortly to be able to give a definite opinion on the matter. We have tested it already by pulling forwards at the radiator cap, endeavouring to pull the dashboard forward and have come to the conclusion that it is possible that a slight stiffening of the dashboard would be required and this could be accomplished most probably by utilising a modified design of bonnet angle round the dash which would have a certain stiffness. We will write to you again on this matter. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}/EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
