Hy{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer}/Mr. Barkworth, Transport, [Struck through, with handwritten 'JM{Mr Morley}' above and 'Crewe' below] Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} -------------------------------- G/Mt5/W.26.9.39. Kindly note, we have received a request from JM{Mr Morley}, asking us to make arrangements to despatch any urgent material to Crewe per any private car that is making the journey. We shall be glad therefore, if you will advise us whenever a private car is taking either Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}Sft.{Mr Swift} or anyone else to Crewe, and if it is possible to give us notice the previous day, or as soon as you receive a request for a car to Crewe, so that we may make arrangements to have this material ready when the car leaves Derby. JM.{Mr Morley} has discussed this matter with Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} who considers that every advantage should be taken of cars running from Derby to Crewe and back. G/Mt. | ||
