- 2 - Bnl/W27.6.19. (Contd.) out. Clutch Oil retaining ring, studs, nuts and washers. As at present arranged the nuts for Clutch Retaining Ring may foul the head of the clutch throw out link under certain conditions of mal-adjustment, and it was proposed that the washers, both plain and grover, should be removed and the studs shortened suitably and riveted over, as it is believed that the Clutch Oil Retaining Ring need never be removed. This will cause the first foul to be between the head of the link and the plain face of the oil retaining ring, instead of allowing the nuts to damage the head of the link. It also provides a little additional clearance. This was agreed subject to the experimental Department's confirmation that there is no difficulty in dismentling the clutch. Klaxon Bracket Bolt. K.{Mr Kilner} 211. The Production Drawing Office desire to alter this bolt to K.{Mr Kilner} 209 as the former is too long. This was agreed. Condenser Case. N. 17934. The Production Drawing Office find that there is a dimensional error on the drawing of this part N. 789. The location of large hole in the case dimensioned .425 from the centre line requires to be altered to .437, to suit the similar dimension on the condenser itself. This was agreed. Oil Pipe Unions. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} 2940. and U. 1439. The Production Drawing Office pointed out that the number of threads on these unions is insufficient, and complaints have been received from the Works of the threads in the cylinders stripping. It was agreed that the length of the thread should be increased and the under-cut reduced in length. Extra Oil Pipe to Cylinder No: 3. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} 16281. The Production Drawing Office proposed to modify the shape of this pipe to conform with the appearance of the pipes to the other cylinders. This was agreed. Bn.{W.O. Bentley / Mr Barrington} | ||
