128 D To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.19/AP.8.12.36. Referring to your Roy.{Sir Henry Royce}2/MG.5.12.36., we have discussed the alterations which you mention therein with Messrs Marston & Co. and are actually running on our next two 15,000 miles cars' matrices with .005" waterways and .003 airways - the airway strip however being tinned. We agree that we could probably dispense with the tinning of the airway strip and will therefore run such a matrix on a 15,000 miles car at the first opportunity. We do not think this feature should be standardised until it has completed a 15,000 mile test satisfactorily. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. | ||
