GOSHAWK I FOOT BRAKE ADJUSTMENT
COUNTERSHAFT
Kindly note the following modifications which Mr Royce would like made to N Scheme 759
① Avoid pocketing the valves by operating the adjusting nut by means of a box spanner pushed through an open hole in the valance
② Since the body will overhang the frame somewhat Mr Royce would like the valance brought up to the underside of the body as in sketch
③ The path of the Nut should be I think with the truck on GM 1 fitted on as in sketch
④ The truck pull yoke should all have tandem forks so that plain pins from summit to yoke from the ferrule construction. Would correspond to the steel cable forks which are to withstand much wear + for the clutch arrangement frequently in use.
