Aerolite M.9 pistons with sawcut in ring groove 32 lbs. scraper and standard comp. rings. Deturbulated head 6.5 : 1 C/R EB.3256.X. valve spring (Swedish) wire R.R. coiled. Delco Remy to suit. Cylinder barrels radiused at base of bores. Increase capacity helical gear oil pump eC.4288. Not mod. B-23 M.H.C. To be removed for further tests on bed. O.H.C. conversion unit. Other than head and block is a standard unit. Compression ratio 6.3 : 1. External ex. cam balancer. Closely coiled valve springs in "Swedish wire" made by the Tempered Spring Co. B-24 6.B.IV 15,000 miles car. Std. crankcase but in L5 alloy. Die cast AC.6 main bearings. R.R. 56 shims. Hykro crankshaft with 2 - .125 dia. holes in each pin and 2 - .2187 in each journal. Big end bearings in billet cast AC.6 with single centre hole in rod half. Cylinder block incorporating gland water joint at inlet from pump. Cylinder head increased inlet ports. Aerolite piston with high press scrapers. Rockers running direct on coppered shaft. Inlet valves in S.65 material. Nos. 1 - 6 Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}260 Tempered Spring Co.
