105 X3117. CONTRACTORS TO ADMIRALTY, WAR OFFICE & AIR MINISTRY S.Smith & Sons (Motor Accessories) Ltd CRICKLEWOOD WORKS LONDON, N.W.2 Please quote our reference: E.6 FGE/MM. December 5th, 1933. Messrs. Rolls Royce, Ltd., DERBY. Dear Sirs, for the attention of Mr.Robotham. Re:- Jackall Hydraulic Jacks. With reference to the Phantom II which is at our Great Portland Street Depot for the purpose of fitting a sample set of the above Jacks, we beg to advise you that there is apparently a difference of location of the radiator front and the front axle beam as between the new PhantomCodename for PHANTOM I II from which our measurements were taken, and the test car. The car we have here appears, so far as the radiator and bonnet are concerned, one of the first of the Phantom II type. We have equipped the car with the rear jacks and brackets and the pump unit is now being fitted. It will, however, be necessary for us to modify the pattern used for the steel casting carrying the front jacks. We will carry out the modification as expeditiously as possible, and we suggest that if you are not in urgent need of the car it might be left at Great Portland Street ready for fitting the new brackets, if on the other hand the car is urgently required we will complete the job short of fitting the front jacks and piping. Yours faithfully, for S. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LTD. [Signature] TO AVOID DELAY ALL ENVELOPES SHOULD BE ADDRESSED TO THE FIRM. | ||
