- 3 - E.9/HP.21.4.33. (20) The first car was known to have some departure from normal with respect to the radiator mounting, as rubbers of the required hardness were not available and the mounting was made solid by the substitution of metal. The leakage which was cured by soldering may only be local porosity but the matter is being investigated. (21) There should have been no departure from normal with regard to the behaviour of the dynamo brushes but further observations will be made with regard to this point. (22) The bolts of the spring anchorage should all be rivetted up or fitted with castellated nuts in preference to spring washers. (23) Floorboards on Bensport No.1. were only temporary. No.2. Bensport has the final design. (24) Wear of the wheel hubs has been taken up with Messrs. R.W. and modifications have been instructed. The distance between the wheel bearings is also being increased by .312". E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} [Unintelligible signature] | ||
