A copy of E's report on 3,176 miles running on the Continent is attached.

With regard to detonation, prior to the car being handed over to E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} we had been carrying out some experiments with the ignition setting, and unintentionally this had been left 10° early. In the moist atmosphere prevailing locally at the time there was no detonation.

The ignition has now been altered to the standard setting, and with this setting Wraith is very free from detonation.
