Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} 5/KT.13.4.31.

With reference to your Bsl1/H31.3.31. we attach a copy of a letter we have written to Capt. Bowman who is a director of the India Tyre Co.

We suggest that you reply to Mr. Barclay and tell him that we have run some hundreds of thousand miles on Dunlops without this trouble being brought to our notice, and that we can say no more than this since we have never tested out India Tyres on our 40/50 HP car. We suggest that you add that as far as we can say we can see no justification for the statement with regard to the well-base being unsuitable for tyres of this section.
