BENSPORT SPECIFICATION.

The Administration have given permission for 200 sets of material for the Bensport chassis, using in the present 20/25 h.p. chassis engine with turbulent head and the 20/25 h.p. gearbox, flywheel and clutch.

The Peregrine front and rear axles will be used.

In conjunction with the Experimental Dept. the following specification has been agreed upon, and instructions should be issued as soon as possible. When the standard section is mentioned it refers to 20/25 h.p. 'Z' series production.

The general layout of the chassis is shown on LeC.3280 attached, to which reference should be made so that outstanding doubtful points may be cleared up.

Specification.

Crankcase & Bearings - Bushes, Liners, Caps &c. for 2.250 dia. Journals - Dynamo Drive modified.

Torque Reaction - Standard 20/25 modified to suit frame.
Damper.

Crankshaft. - 2.250 dia. journals. 6/8 balance as standardised for 20/25 h.p.

Spring Drive. - Standard with strengthened friction plate LeC.3304.

Connecting Rod. - Standard 20/25 h.p.

Piston. - E.56610 for turbulent head.

Cylinder. - Cylinder Head E.59311 - Compression Ratio 6.35 to 1 - Cylinder Block 20/25 standard modified to suit.
