We have received the following telegram from

CWB :-
"SERIOUS ACCIDENT CAR WRECKED BUTLER VERY SERIOUSLY
"INJURED NOW AT CLINIQUE TWENTY RUE CRETON AMIENS
"RECEIVING ALL POSSIBLE ATTENTION ADVISE RELATIVES AND
"INFORM ME OF ACTION WILL REMAIN HERE UNTIL SOMEONE
"ARRIVES OR BUTLER OUT OF DANGER REPEAT LONDON!
BRIGGS, HOTEL DE L'UNIVERS AMIENS.

who was running experimental car 15-EX in France.

We have to-day wired you as follows :-
"EXPERIMENTAL CAR FIFTEEN EX. WRECKED AT AMIENS BRIGGS
"AT HOTAL UNIVERS AMIENS PLEASE ARRANGE EXAMINATION
"OF FIFTEEN EX. FOR INSURANCE AND TRANSPORT TO DERBY
"AS EXPEDITIOUSLY AS POSSIBLE - HIVES".

The car and Butler are both fully insured
and we believe D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} is communicating with you on this matter.
Our concern is to get the car back to Derby
as soon as sufficient information has been obtained for
the insurance people. You will doubtless send it back
as you did 35-PK if the car is totally incapacitated.
We should be glad if you would report on its condition as
soon as you know anything.
