GOSHAWK 11. AUTOVAC TANK.
X4266
X3579
We send you herewith N.sch. 1266 showing the Goshawk tank reduced in capacity to one half gallon as agreed to recently by Mr. Royce. It will be seen that with this capacity it is possible to slightly shift the position of the tank so as to entirely clear the valve rocker cover and to avoid cutting out the bonnet strip on the dashboard. The tank will probably also be thought to be of a more reasonable size.
With this alteration it will not be necessary to modify the Klaxon at all unless it is desired to do so for other reasons.
It will be seen that the shape and method of attachment of the hanging brackets is not altered, and we think in this respect that it is better than the scheme proposed at Derby in which one of the brackets was going to overlap the Autovac tower flange.
We shew a small sheet metal stop to prevent the bolt on the "B" type instrument board bracket being pushed back.
