X5430 To BY FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} C. to BJ. HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M20.5.26. 20HP - STEERING COLUMN - X.5430. Herewith we send N.Scheme 2193. shewing the tubular stiffening stay to the dashboard, similar to the one recently instructed for the Phantom, and which will enable a totally isolated scuttle to be used on any 20HP Chassis. If it should be found desirable in some cases to make this stay retrospective it is designed so that this can be done with a minimum of trouble. The original dia. of column is shewn. We should be glad if Derby would make an adaptation to the stiffer column for use so long as the sheet metal dash remains. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
