We have received complaints from Cricklewood about the impossibility of tightening the nuts holding the Bentley steering gear to the chassis frame, owing to insufficient clearance for a box spanner. On a bare chassis without bonnet strips it is possible to use a jaw spanner as is done in the Works, but when the bonnet strips are fitted even this is not possible. Will you please modify the design to overcome this difficulty. RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer} | ||
