W.A. Robotham Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd.,
D E R B Y.

Dear Mr. Robotham,

I am in receipt of your letter of the 29th ultimo, which concerns the matters discussed between us during the visit of Mr. Barker and myself on Monday.

Whilst agreeing with your first paragraph that you had to remove all the Borg & Beck Plates which have previously been fitted to your Phantom III Cars, it would appear that the plates with which you replaced them have not shown any improvement, and I feel that this fact cannot be laid at our door.

We assume the 100 plates which we are making for you are to replace plates of your manufacture and agree that any required to replace Borg & Beck Plates we should not make a profit on.

To meet you however, we are prepared to supply these 100 plates at a price of £3. 5. 0. which figure, according to our estimation is considerably lower than we should quote.

We reserve the right to revise our quotation after experience gained in making these 100 plates and assume that should these prove satisfactory, and production quantities are required, Tools will be put in hand.
