Summary of test - contd :-
over-heating at low speeds can be improved by ensuring
that the fan is functioning properly - or larger radiator.
There is also a distinct gain with increased
ventilation at low speeds.
Tests on the new fans are not yet completed,
but as far as they have gone, it does not appear that
we shall gain any marked advantage.
The reason we compare unfavourably with other
cars is the fact that we have a large capacity engine
which supplies a lot of heat to the cooling water, also
the face area of our radiators is small.
