(4) If there is any difference in these positions consistently it would show that there is some good in the idea. Also ascertain the amount. Some such slight allowance might be made to avoid at least any error in the opposite direction which would, I think, be fatal. To make these tests and also to be able to test the over-run better and quicker, pulleys with double grooves should be fixed on the axle test rig at both ends. These ought to be put in hand at once, if such is not already the case, and fixed as soon as ever possible. F.H.R. | ||
