F.R. Banks, Esq.,
Ethyl Export Corporation,
Thames House,
Millbank,
LONDON, S.W.1.

Dear Banks,

Thank you for your letter of the 5th July together with the information contained therein.

We have had a further case of our crankshaft oilers being attacked by the lubricant; this time on our own car after running 12,000 miles.

We have also had another case during the recent hot weather where one of our cars running on ordinary Ethyl in France suffered from the air intake being stuck, as on the one we showed you.

We think that both these complaints are serious, and hope that they are receiving attention.

Yours sincerely,

P.S. We are sending you samples of the crankcase oil, and the sludge taken from the crankpin.
