We commenced fitting these springs about two weeks ago on chassis on test, and arrangements were also made to change those on chassis delivered. A week ago 34-EX, the London Trials Car was at the Works for decarbonising the engine and fitting the latest type clutch plate. We took the opportunity while we were decarbonising the engine of fitting a set of the latest springs. Late last night the car was brought to the Works by the driver with a complaint that the engine was running erratically, and as he had two important demonstrations to give in Nottingham this morning, the car required attention immediately. Investigation showed that three of the outer valve springs were broken. The broken springs were replaced and the car left to keep the appointments. Broken springs handed to By [Signature] | ||
