To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Sr. the Bentley market and, therefore, to use your words, the Commercial Department would prefer to have a trial flutter with it as it is and see how it sells. We can always improve it and bring it up to date as time goes on. We have got to remember that J.II (i.e. J.III with bore reduced) is an entirely unproved unit with certain novel features such as self-adjusting tappets, whereas as I said before one of the main attractions of using J.I for Bensport is that it is already a tested and proved unit. One might say really that time is the controlling factor to a great extent. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} | ||
