| W/S - C. C. to Wcr. C. to Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}, x261d Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} S/KW.18.4.35. B-10-DG. Mr. Thompson. This customer has now had his car for about a month and except for one or two criticisms is exceedingly pleased with it. His criticisms are as follows :- (1) He cannot get the ground clearance he wants until larger tyres are fitted. He already complains that for his type of driving the car is over-geared. In view of this, Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has agreed that we can change his axle gears to 10/43. I think he would be agreeable to paying for the cost of the changeover. (2) He has had trouble with water causing his front brakes to be ineffective. The water excluders will overcome this complaint. (3) He is rather disappointed with the amount of tappet noise and the tinniness of the front expansion box of the exhaust system. I am fairly certain that his criticisms would completely disappear if we could fit the noise insulation scheme to the car, and would be glad if you could agree to this being done. (4) A noise has developed in the gearbox. The car is being sent to the Works immediately after Easter. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
