FILE 1021 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/EAG.16/SW. 19th June, 1941. Messrs. Wilmot Breeden, Ltd., Eastern Works, Camden Street, BIRMINGHAM 1. For the attention of Mr. Spicer. Dear Sirs, With reference to the striking plates for the luggage locker lid{A. J. Lidsey}, while your standard plate L.2365, is not quite what we require, on the sample bodies we should like to try this out. Regarding the spare wheel locker lid{A. J. Lidsey} budget look, and referring to the dimension which you have changed from 15/16" to 3/4", this dimension will be satisfactory on the sample bodies, but we may have to have the 15/16" on production to give the necessary adjustment. Regarding the regulator for the rear door, as explained to you over the telephone, we find that the arm fouls the other mechanism and as you cannot reduce the thickness, we are endeavouring to arrange the position so that the arm does not have to cross the other mechanism. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE, LTD., | ||
