[Handwritten top left] 3713 series front V [Stamped] ORIGINAL [Handwritten top right] MS O 24 TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} SECRET. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}3/113.4.25. SERIES 'V' FRONT SPRINGS. [Handwritten] X8410 In spite of the result of the 10,000 miles car we presume you are satisfied that the front springs as now instructed are alright to proceed with. We believe 8,000 miles is a good average life. But at the same time it seems to us that we can effect further improvements by increasing the number of plates as at one time was proposed, and we are going to suggest that something of this sort should be done with a view to bringing it into production when convenient.
