COACHBUILDING CHARGES. EXPERIMENTAL CARS.

We think the fact that it costs nearly £100 to fit the body to 18-G4 indicates the great economy to be affected by allowing the coachbuilders to have experimental chassis to fit the bodies they have made.

Where the body and the chassis are both experimental there are bound to be a number of minor modifications with very little to show for it when the job is finished.

We thought Messrs. Sanderson & Holmes figures were excessive some time ago, and got a competitive estimate from a Nottingham firm for a £30 job. The difference was only a few shillings.

Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has already allowed us to have 27-EX fitted up by the people who made the body and we think with reasonable precautions we may be able to do this with most of the future cars.
