Dear Sirs,

Your Ref. Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}/EM27/E4917.

We have to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 4th. inst. and, as requested, we are sending you an analysis of our Heavy Aeroplane Engine Oil C.N. and Light Aeroplane Engine Oil A.N.

We are supplying oils similar to the above to The Air Board for the lubrication of aeroplane engines. They, at our request, are about to carry out tests with our aeroplane oils A.N. and C.N. We are anxious for them to do so, as our experiments have lead us to the conclusion that these oils are superior to what we are supplying, in as much as the carbon is reduced almost to a minimum. The only drawback is that they are on the expensive side and for this reason we cannot quote for them in open competition.

We have searched the whole of America to secure the crudes from which to manufacture these oils and have been successful in obtaining the finest the world produces. We, in consequence, feel assured that we have an article which, for perfection of lubrication and absence of carbon, has no rival.
