re P.III Brakes.

Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}14/E8.10.36

Jack Barclay lent his P.III to Mr.Humfrey Symons who, as you know, is an expert driver and an important motoring correspondent.

I enclose copy of note from Bt.{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} who met him on Monday. This appears to indicate that Barclay's car urgently needs the stops about which E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} was talking and the levers checking for fouling.

I am sending this note to you because I rather assumed that you were going to deal with these matters but I am not quite sure.

What I have in mind is that these two points ought to be dealt with as quickly as possible on all P.III's out as, if they get a bad name to start with for brakes, it will do the business a lot of harm.

If you are only dealing with Trials Cars and some one else dealing with the rest, please pass this memo. to them and ask them to let me know what is going to be done and how soon.
