Torque Reaction Damping Device -
40/50 H.P. Chassis.

EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}19/H22.10.23. We understand that R.{Sir Henry Royce} is satisfied that this device very considerably reduces vibrations which can be felt by the passengers; also that the alteration is so comparatively small that it is not likely to cause any troubles.

Under the circumstances please arrange for this device to be fitted to all demonstration cars, including the Chairman's, LHS{Lord Herbert Scott}'s, C.J's, depots' and agents' at home and abroad.

This work should be carried out as soon as possible, whilst the Experimental Department are finishing their tests.

If the technical officials at the Works consider there is any risk in carrying out the above, please let me know at once.

B.J.
