To Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} From Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} 87941 Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}2/MJ.11.6.32. Re. 19-EX. Car. We propose taking this car to W. with us on Tuesday in order to demonstrate to R.{Sir Henry Royce} the semi expanding carburetter. He has never yet seen one of these carburetters. The car will then be returned to Derby in order to have the shaft in the gearbox replaced with one of the latest type. This is the same modification that we recently made to the latest 25 HP. to prevent the third speed coming out. We expect this car to leave for France on the 21st. We are trying to get on to it a modified silencer but if it is not ready it will be sent on after the car has left. Actually 19-EX. car has run 7,000. When it goes to France again this time we expect it to complete a further 10,000 miles. We have fitted some modified exhaust valves which we hope will overcome the trouble which has been experienced on this car previously. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
