X1238 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}10/LG. 8th. Oct. 1923. F.L. Rapson, Esq., Burlington Rd., New Malden, Surrey. Dear Sir, Answering your letter of the 2nd. inst. We shall be very pleased to test out on one of our Experimental cars, a set of your tyres. We assume that you are producing straight-sided tyres. We have some time ago, standardised straight-sided tyres. We should prefer a set of tyres to suit our 20 HP. car. The size of the tyre used on this car is 32 X 4½. The weight of the car complete with body - no passengers will be :- Front - 13 cwts. Rear - 16 cwts. Usually we run our tests with 40 lbs. pressure in the front tyres, and 45 lbs. pressure in the rear tyres. We do not wish to run with anything much higher than this. If you decide to send us a set of tyres, we will arrange to furnish you with a fortnightly report with regard to mileage and condition. Yours faithfully, | ||
