Exide Batteries - Chassis 14-FF.

Yours EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/CEP7/EC24.4.22 (Shipping Office ref.- D/BP/LH{Mr Haworth}3/B6.4.22) and EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}/CEP2/EC2.5.22 (Shipping Office Y/S 40873).

When Mr.McKinnon was here on the 10th inst. he examined the battery ex chassis 14-FF. (containing only 5 cells), also one separate 2 volt cell out of the same battery.

It was arranged that these should be sent to the Chloride Co. for reconditioning at our expense and we requested the Chloride Co. to state what their charges would be:-

(a) For renovating the 5 cells

(b) and separately the cost of renovating the one 2 volt cell

The Chloride Co. have now written us that they presume it will be in order if they fit all six renovated cells into the tray, making a complete battery?

We have assumed that this will be in order and have therefore written the Chloride Co. to proceed accordingly.

Of course if on arrival of the battery here it is desired to exchange one of the cells for the new one which is at present held by us, this is practicable but does not seem very desirable as the battery would have been carefully packed and sealed in the crate.
