Dear Ward, MYTH. I was very pleased with your progress on Myth chassis frame. Green tells me you have details of most of the body panels and these of the scuttle and pillars will reach you within the next few days. We have completed the chassis specification and the bits are in process of manufacture. I understand that you are not assembling the frame for about a month, please give us a few days notice before you actually weld up, so that we may incorporate any final modifications. BENTLEY V.{VIENNA} As discussed with you, we should very much like another lightened type body similar to that fitted to 12.B.V. I believe you have two sets of material of this gauge steel as we asked you to make two further bodies of this type before the war. We really require this new body to replace the standard all steel body on 9.B.V. which is rapidly disintegrating. I believe that ultimately, you will have to standardise this lightened type of body to justify the high price you will have to charge compared with the cost of a "Myth" fully pressed body. Mr. Green has various points he would like to take up with you to improve details. Drawing. I hope that you will keep the drawing work going on B.V. and the six and four-light rationalised bodies for the long wheelbase senior range. -Over- | ||
