RE X.3185.-PISTON RINGS IN SPECIAL METAL FROM MESSRS. JOSEPH STUBBS & CO.

With reference to your enquiries as to our experimental results on above rings, we have now to hand the following remarks of Mr. Coverley's.-

"We do not find any difference in these . Hammering operation is about same as Standard also we have about the same percentage of breakages. Mr. Hives will confirm this."

We are hoping to receive Mr. Hives' report on these rings which we will let you have as soon as this is available

Mr. Coverley informed us verbally that he thinks these are quite as good as the standard material. We do not think we need be in doubt as to ordering up further quantities of the material.
