Single Spark Magneto for Aero Engines. Last month we asked North & Sons how they were progressing with the construction of the above-mentioned magneto. They have now written as follows:- "With regard to the 12 cylinder single spark "magneto, we beg to say that we sent in a tender "for these machines some time ago and a represent- "ative of the Air Ministry called on us last week "to investigate the figures on which our quotation "was based and as we were able to satisfy him with "regard to our figures we hope to receive the "contract very shortly. "Unofficially however we may inform you that "the work has already been put in hand and consider- "able progress has been made so that when the "official instructions are received we shall be "able to give delivery with very little delay."
