X1347 Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Na{Mr Nadin}10/B29614. A short time ago Mr Royce com- plained that the steam hose which we are using on our radiator lost its shape and had a very delapidated appearance in a short time. I hand you herewith 5 samples of hose marked with 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 notches at each end. I should be glad if you would kindly have this hose tested for its power to with- stand steam, and report as to which you con- sider the best, and whether any of them are superior to the one we are now using. I suggest one way of testing would be to boil them [Stamp text]: JUN 29 1914 [Signature]: Na.{Mr Nadin} [Signature]: Mr Mercer Enc. 5 samples.
